Our Founder
I'm Liam, and I started D1 Life from my dorm room after leaving my Division 1 athletic career here at Penn State. With a huge piece of my life now empty, I started searching for something to replace that space.
Shortly after, I helped my grandmother navigate her life insurance policy and the feeling that left me with became addicting. I realized how confusing and overwhelming the process was for her, and how many families are not prepared at all. In that moment, the seed of this company was planted.
I decided to redirect my energy. Instead of applying Division 1 effort to beating other people, I'd apply it to changing people's lives. Instead of striving to be the best athlete, I'd strive to be the best at helping families find peace of mind.
Division 1 means excellence. It means giving your absolute best. For me, that means ensuring not a single person leaves behind a burden to their loved ones. I'm passionate about making families understand how simple and affordable protection can be.
